Woodstock Artisans Market celebrates its fifth birthday on Sunday, 5th November - and you are invited to join in the festivities!
The very first Woodstock Artisans Market opened in November 2018, when heritage and craft came together to create one of Sydney's most unique shopping experiences.
For many Sydneysiders, that first market was a thrilling reveal of a long-hidden heritage gem, the grand 1800s mansion now known as Woodstock Community Centre, and its lush grounds, all 10 minutes' stroll from Burwood Station.
Also revealed was the depth of talent right on our doorstep as local artisans presented a dazzling assortment of high-quality goods for sale, all handmade locally.
Five years on, Woodstock Artisans Market still hosts stalls from those first makers, along with many more. Marketgoers can now find gourmet foods, boutique wines and spirits, as well as an international food zone for time out between browsing stalls.
The upcoming November market will feature 80 + stalls selling handcrafted homewares, fashion, jewellery, art, woodwork, children's wear, curios, artisan meats, bread and pastries, wine and spirits, and more. Follow @woodstockartisansmarket on
Instagram to view some of the gorgeous goods produced by the talented stallholders who trade at the markets.
Shoppers can enjoy live acoustic music as they browse the stalls, and even watch artisans create their work!
Woodstock Community Centre is also surrounded by spacious parklands, so after a spot of shopping, take the kids down to one of two playgrounds.
Conveniently located close to Burwood's bustling town centre, Woodstock Artisans Market is an oasis where shoppers can find those special purchases beyond the mainstream, all in relaxing and beautiful surroundings.
Woodstock was built as a home in 1871 by Edwin Thomas Penfold and changed hands numerous times before being acquired by Burwood Council.
Based at 22 Church Street, this stunning site consists of the renovated, heritage-listed Woodstock Community Centre, spacious Woodstock Park and the newer addition of Fitzroy Hall.
Entry to Woodstock Artisans Market is free.
Parking is available on-site or on nearby streets.
Disabled parking is available and disabled access is provided at Woodstock Community Centre.
The venue is approximately 10 minutes' walk from Burwood Train Station.
