If you have any adventurous little tree climbers in your household, check out this list of awesome places in Sydney where they can fly amongst the tree tops and propel themselves sky high!

TreeTop Adventure Park - Western Sydney Parklands

Kids from the age of 3 can climb the courses here. An adult must supervise from below and children can complete the course as many times as they like in their 2 hour session. The kids course is only for kids up to the age of 9 years, after this age they have to climb the junior/adult course - there's even a night climb available. On site there is also a TreeTop Safari for kids aged above 10 years, and a TreeTop Crazy Ride for kids aged 7 years and over who weigh more than 30kgs.

This will be a huge day out for your kids as the Urban Jungle is located in the grounds of the Sydney Aquatic Centre, and as such your entry fee also covers entry into the Aquatic Centre! There are over 50 obstacles to be negotiated, and there are four courses which range in height from 2m to 6m above the ground. Each course finishes with a flying fox to zip you back to earth. Kids must be aged 8 years or above and be taller than 125cm to climb.

Whilst not out amongst the trees, this brand new centre is built around a majestic old tree that is 5 storeys high! There's a kids course suitable for children under 140cm high, and you have an hour to complete it. The course is close to the ground so that parents can walk underneath. There are much higher (and scarier) courses for bigger kids too - you can even ride a bike high up in the sky!

Address: 215 Forrester Rd, St Marys (entry via Go Bananas Play Centre)
Phone: 02 96777759
Cost: From $25.00 / hour
Open: Every day except Christmas Day

A new tree top adventure is also due to open at the Cumberland State Forest in West Pennant Hills by the end of the year.

HANDY HINTS
Make sure you book your climbs in advance
Arrive at least 15 minutes before your climb is due to start
Wear comfortable close fitting clothing and closed in shoes - long pants or shorts are best to avoid the harnesses rubbing directly on your skin
Long hair should be tied back
Do not wear jewellery such as necklaces and bracelets, or earrings that aren't studs
Apply sunscreen as even though the outdoor venues are in the "bush," you can still get sunburnt easily
Most venues offer birthday party packages so contact each venue for pricing
