Indoor pools are a must-have in Sydney on rainy but still humid days. They're also great on super hot days when you can't be out in the sun for more than a few minutes without getting sun burnt. Overview: There's a 40m wave pool and a 56m giant slide, as well as surf ryder in this excellent aquatic centre, so your older kids will be in for a great time. Little ones will love the kids wading pool and bubble whirl pools.

Overview: This is probably Sydney's biggest and best indoor pool for kids to have fun in all year long. The Splashers Water Playground has cool slides that land in the pool, water spouts as well as heaps of gigantic water buckets. There's also a rapid river ride that will have kids going around and around, and when your children are nice and dry, they can also have a go in the Tea Cup and Saucer ride as well.

Overview: With quite a few mushroom showers and flower spouts, the kids water play area is a great spot to sit and get wet all day long.
