An event for high school kids to discover something new.

Most Australian children and teens take part in ‘extracurriculars’, such as sport, music and school activities. But did you know there is a whole world of extracurriculars to explore? Now is the time to help your child discover their passion and find an activity that helps them thrive.

The Extracurricular Summit is the first of its kind in Australia. The summit aims to help families discover opportunities beyond the usual and to see the life-changing impact extracurricular activities can make.

There is certainly fantastic value in sport, music and school activities, but finding something your child truly loves can help them deepen their learning and influence their decisions and pathways for years to come.

The Extracurricular Summit is open to students in Year 7 and above, and their parents.

There is no cost to attend, although a gold coin donation would be appreciated. This donation will go to Yalari, an indigenous scholarship program.

Students will learn from inspiring speakers, including representatives from some of Australia’s leading youth programs and academic competitions such as CEOs of leading charities, international academic competitors, ambassadors for UNICEF and more.

Your child will walk away with the practical tips needed to find their passion. They will learn to rethink how they approach their current and future extracurricular activities, all in time for the summer holidays!

The Summit will be split into two sessions:

Community Impact

Students will learn:
The power of the student voice
Fundraising for a cause
Creating a lasting legacy

Academic Excellence Summit

Student will explore themes such as:
Developing academic interests beyond the classroom
Finding inspiration and like-minded students
Competing on the world stage

There will also be a workshop titled 'Developing Your Extracurricular Profile'. During this workshop, students will learn about:
Balancing Out Your Extracurriculars
Hear a Student Case Study: From Hobby to Harvard
Setting Goals and Knowing When to Quit

Is your child a born leader? They can even become an Event Ambassador!

Students can become an Event Ambassador to help spread the word about the event. Families can use the ticket order form to show their interest and Crimson staff will be in contact.

Don't miss this opportunity to explore extracurriculars your child may not have ever considered and find a new passion for life!

Extracurricular Summit: Sydney

WHEN: Sunday, November 3 from 1pm - 5pm
WHERE: Kirribilli Club, 11 Harbourview Crescent, Lavender Bay
