Located in the coastal town of Port Macquarie, the Sea Acres Rainforest Boardwalk in Sea Acres National Park is an easy, family-friendly, self-guided attraction that people of all ages can enjoy.
The 1.3km loop flat
(wheelchair-accessible) Boardwalk begins from the Sea Acres Rainforest Centre and offers a beautiful experience that takes approximately 30 minutes to just over an hour to complete. Visitors can enjoy spotting an abundance of rainforest birds, wildlife, and various natural wonders.
The boardwalk is elevated above ground level, providing spectacular views. It also features a canopy that rises an impressive seven meters through the forest's understory, making it an ideal vantage point. From here, you can take in awe-inspiring views of the local habitat, which includes towering rainforest trees, shrubs, plants, and diverse birdlife and wildlife.
If you are quiet and patient, you will likely be able to spot rainforest birds, including the Scarlet Robin, goannas and diamond pythons.

The rainforest also has a rich history with the Biripai people. They used walking stick palms as a travel aid and made weapons from the python tree, the second hardest wood in the world!
