Sydney’s cake queen to add a heaping dollop of colour to Savour the Flavour!

Get your taste buds ready! Hawkesbury Council’s Savour the Flavour is back, bigger and better and set to transform Richmond Oval into an exciting food and beverage hub on Saturday, 12 October 2024 from 4 pm to 9 pm. Entry is free.

PLUS this year, Sydney cake queen Katherine Sabbath is the special guest MC, ramping up the colour and excitement to a whole new level.

Katherine Sabbath is one of the coolest creatives around! Her unique designs have garnered her a following of more than half a million on Instagram and have featured locally and internationally online, on television, in print and even in a collection of pyjamas, wines and couture tutus.



Everyone is invited to this vibrant one-day event that celebrates Hawkesbury's past and present as the original 'food bowl' of Sydney. With the event running until 9 pm, there will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the wonderful local food, produce and Hawkesbury setting.



Held on a spring afternoon, come along and discover a delicious line-up of bustling stalls offering food, produce and beverages to sample and buy - including fresh produce, apple pies, fresh and barbecued meats, pizza, bush tucker, honey, desserts, organic food, jams, juices, alcoholic beverages and more.



Local restauranteurs and producers will also be presenting live cooking demonstrations on-stage. Plus there will be a fun family workshop hosted by Council’s Arts and Culture Team, carnival rides and live entertainment.

Last year’s hotly-contested apple pie competition is also set to return!



Come dressed in pink in celebration of the event’s official colour and strut your stuff for their chance to win in the best-dressed competition. Richmond storeowners are also getting into the spirit by dressing up their shopfronts!



Getting to Richmond is easy. It’s a 1.5 hour train ride from the Sydney CBD along the Western and
Richmond lines. It’s also close to the Richmond Road M7 turnoff, and a short drive from Penrith and the Blue Mountains. Parking is available at Hawkesbury Showground, Richmond Marketplace and around the town centre. Please keep your dogs safe and leave them at home - they will not be allowed entry to the event.
