Pack a picnic and bring the family for a day of fun!

Presented by Sydney Living Museums, bring the family along to [Link https://sydneylivingmuseums.com.au/events/family-fair Rouse Hill House & Farm] for a day of fun and nostalgia on Sunday 12th August.

Throughout the day, you can:

Try your hand at a range of old-fashioned activities and games including [Link https://sydneylivingmuseums.com.au/profile/fly-kite kite flying], jumping sacks and vintage lawn sports.

Experience [Link https://sydneylivingmuseums.com.au/profile/meet-our-farmer-and-cows farm life] with their farmer, who will teach you how to feed the cows and [Link https://sydneylivingmuseums.com.au/profile/pony-rides ride a Shetland pony].

Get up close and personal with the baby animals at the petting farm and see the sheep shearing show.

Take a [Link https://sydneylivingmuseums.com.au/profile/family-friendly-house-tours sneak peek] inside Rouse Hill House and experience the [Link https://sydneylivingmuseums.com.au/profile/school-house-lessons 1880s schoolhouse] with schoolmistress Mrs Fox.

For some quiet time, sit back and relax with storybook readings under the fig tree or get crafty at their tinkering station with printed materials.

In-between activities, shop from a hand-picked selection of market stalls selling high quality children’s merchandise including Sydney Living Museum’s pop-up shop. You can also pack a home crafted picnic or enjoy a bite to eat from one of the many food vendors selling traditional country fare.
