Jump around and enjoy the trampolines and foam pits with your kids, at one of the Flip Out centres in Sydney. They're located at Castle Hill, Penrith, Revesby, Caringbah and Prestons. Younger kids have a separate play area away from the older kids to make it safer for them to bounce.
MCA is not a stuffy art gallery where kids aren't welcome. There is a free family activity trail, Sunday Family Fundays each week, regular art play mornings for kids during the week and a roof top cafe with fabulous views over the city. Best of all, entry is free!
Sydney's SEA Life Aquarium is a great place to spend quite a few hours with the kids on a rainy day. After seeing the sharks, dugongs, penguins and sting rays, kids can get up close with creatures such as shellfish and anemones at the Discovery Rockpool.
Located in the Macquarie Shopping Centre complex, you can combine a day of shopping and skating here. At this facility, you can learn to skate, or participate in a skating holiday camp, casual visits are also allowed. They host birthday parties and discos on Friday nights. There's a "Coffee Club" and also a Kiddies Club on weekday mornings where you can learn to skate and meet new friends at the same time.
