There are 3 stages of building , in which younger children start with simple shapes, before progressing to creating 3D models and then mastering their skills - all done at their own pace. The largest LaQ sets have complex 3D models that challenge teenagers and adults alike.

The unique LaQ concept was designed from 4 very different facets:

Traditional Japanese architecture, which is based on connecting pillars and sliding doors at angles

A culture of recycling, in which materials can be re-used over and over and designed for different needs

A pair of rolling dice, representing the various shapes LaQ can make

And lastly - a bowl of Udon Noodles, which are flat and flexible, which is why LaQ blocks are flat, more flexible and easier to handle than ‘brick type’ blocks.
