A fun school holiday activity for the kids to get cooking from scratch at some of Sydney’s most iconic locations!

Give your children the wonderful experience of making their own food from scratch these school holidays at some of the Sydney Living Museum's most iconic venues: Elizabeth Farm, Meroogal or Vaucluse House.

Children aged 5 to 12 years are invited to come along to the colonial kitchen to make dough and create damper, plus learn how to churn fresh butter using just cream.

Discover the delights of old-fashioned recipes and traditional food preparation, inspired by Tottie Thorburn’s diaries from the 1890s. You can also have a go at making your own cool and refreshing lemonade from fresh lemons - it’s the perfect Spring thirst quencher!

Each event is an opportunity to explore the kitchen garden, then settle down and get stuck into all the lovely things you’ve made!
