There's a group of Sydney Mums who hail from the Eastern Suburbs, that give up much of their valuable time to raise money for various registered charities. These women are the Change Angels, and they seriously do help to change the lives of many people in need!
Some of the charities that they have supported are The Child Potection Unit at Sydney Children's Hospital, Daniel Morcombe Foundation, Dandelion Network, Guide Dogs Australia, Fred Hollows Foundation, Barnados, Little Heroes Swim Academy, as well as quite a few others.
These gorgeous Mums come up with unique and fun ways to raise money for the different charities that they support. In just over 2 years they have raised $470,000! So far they have done Live Band Karaoke Nights, Movie Afternoons, Hula Dolls, Flowers for Valentines Day, and Buddy Bracelets. These funky bracelets (and charms) are sold to raise money for the Little Heroes Swim Academy - a small swim school who aims to make swimming inclusive for everyone, and teach children with special needs water safety.
The Change Angels largest fundraising campaign however, has been Bonnie the Bunny. This beautiful bunny made by Nana Huchy, is bought by you for a child in need. The bunnies cost $35.00 and are given to children in hospital who have suffered abuse or neglect, to offer them some comfort. Such a simple, yet effective idea.
Thanks so much to these inspiring Sydney Mums for the wonderful job you do as the Change Angels:
