Our next group of Sydney Inspiring Mums are a bunch of gorgeous Mummas from the Northern Beaches who run an organisation called [Link http://www.mumsformums.org.au/ Mums for Mums].

These inspiring women "are a group of busy mums who feel passionately about helping families in our community during times of illness and bereavement. We love what we do and strive to make every fundraiser a financial and social success."



This amazing organisation came about in 2011 after a close friend of the Mums was diagnosed with a second brain tumor. The group of friends raised funds via a simple movie night at a local cinema, to help support the family of their dear friend.

Soon other Mums approached them who knew of other families with similar struggles, and from there Mums for Mums took off.

Based in the areas of Newport, Bilgola and Avalon on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Mums for Mums are continually fundraising and supporting locals who are suffering illness, trauma and loss.

The funds that these committed women raise, help families pay for cleaning, laundry, meals, as well as helping to organise rosters for car pooling so that people can be taken for treatment or rehabilitation etc.



Mums for Mums are currently raising funds to help find a cure for Brain Cancer. Their #onebeanieatatime fund raising initiative is selling a toasty grey beanie for $20.00.
