Starting Blocks at Essential Baby & Toddler Show
Up until recently, parents searching for child care had to rely on a range of research measures to support their choice of service, such as word of mouth advice, internet searches or their gut feeling after visiting a local provider.
You may not be aware that child care services are assessed and rated under the National Quality
Standard (NQS), which can help inform you about a service before making your choice.
This assessment and rating process is conducted by a state or territory’s local regulatory authority and aims to improve the quality of early childhood education and care services in Australia. Providing children with quality experiences early in life can lead to better health, education and employment outcomes, building a productive and fair Australia.
If you can't make it to this event, visit the [Link http://www.startingblocks.gov.au/ Starting Blocks website] for lots of information on your child’s developmental milestones, at home activities and to conduct your own childcare search – simply pop in your postcode and view your local childcare services and see how they rated!
