Horse Riding in Sydney

Not many of us suburban dwellers have the space for a pony in our backyard (or could even afford to look after one). So luckily there are quite a few places all around Sydney where you can giddy up, and someone else foots the feed bill!

Centennial Parklands - Centennial Park

This is about the only place you can jump in the saddle, in or near the city. The pony rides are held every weekend, and also in the school holidays from 10am - 2pm. The rides are only for kids aged 2 - 10 years, and who weigh less than 35kgs. Adults must accompany their children, with each ride costing $10.00. Please note, that if it is raining or the temperature is above 35 degrees, the rides will be cancelled for the safety of the animals.

Kurnell Boarding Stables & Riding School - Kurnell

This is where you can jump in the saddle if you live in Southern Sydney. If you are lucky enough to own a horse, it can live here for a fee and then you can come and ride it when you have the time. If you don't own a pony, then you can visit and learn to ride a horse, go on a pony ride on a weekend, attend a school holiday camp, and even have a pony party for your birthday!
