Born by one, raised by many. All of us share in the responsibility for the upbringing of our youth.
However, these days our 'villages' can be harder to find. Fewer people know their neighbours names or communicate face-to-face with acquaintances as much as we use to. Life has changed and it is different.
Everyone knows it takes a village to raise a child, but when you really need help you may find yourself alone.
In its simplest form, Born by One is a community of people with diverse cultures, backgrounds and experiences that share a common goal of making sure no parent is left to navigate parenthood alone.
Born By One aim to bring back village parenting where every child and parent is supported by their village in raising the child to be the best he/she can be.
How does it work?
Born by One is a matching platform that connects parents from nearby suburbs to form a community of support. To start, set up an honest profile about you, your family and your circumstances. They match you to local parents you maybe interested in meeting where you can organise a play date via their chat feature. As your comfort level grows, begin to expand your village of support.
Their hope is that you find someone to support you through the ups and downs of parenthood, marriage and life in general.
