We're Going On An Egg Hunt.

Easter 2018 is a bit of a mystery with the long weekend falling separate to the school holidays. If you're a bit confused like I am, all you need to know is, IT'S COMING!

The Easter long weekend will be celebrated from Friday 30th of March to Monday 2nd of April. That's just around the corner and no sooner than St Pat leaves the building, the Easter Bunny is in the house.

Do you need an updated family photo?
The Newtown Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
If you're looking for some inspiration on where to take your kids for Easter egg hunts and Easter Bunny meet and greets, look no further than Sydney Mums Group's top 8...

1. Afternoon Tea With Mr Rabbit

When: Monday 19th of March - Saturday 31st of March, 2018
Why?: Imagine being Alice for the day and having high tea with a white rabbit. Not just any old white rabbit - it's the Easter Bunny! At $45 per child and $70 per adult, this one is a very special treat indeed. Every child will take home an Easter gift and an unforgettable experience.

Do you want to learn how to knit? Or have recently started and would like to meet some new friends to share your creativity with, all while having a good chat? Sydney Knitting Club has classes for you.

2. Little Learning School Easter Family Fun Days

Where: Various - see below
When: Saturday 17th, Sunday 18th, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of March, 2018

Saturday 17th of March: Ambarvale and Surry Hills
Sunday 18th of March: Leichhardt and Williams Landing
Saturday 24th of March: Alexandria, Croydon, Chatswood North, Panania, St Leonards and Warriewood
Sunday 25th of March: Cranbourne and Lane Cove

3. Camperdown Commons Easter

4. The Great CP Egg Hunt

Where: The WILD PLAY Discovery Centre, Dickens Dr, Centennial Parklands
When: Saturday 31st of March and Sunday 1st of April, 2018
Why?: This one's not free but for $17.70 per child, it sounds pretty cool. Every egg hunter is given a trail map to follow around the garden, with lots of fun challenges. The reward for completing the quest is chocolate and a family photo with the Easter Bunny!

5. Sydney Living Museums' Egg-cellent Easter Trail

Where: Choice between Vaucluse House, Vaucluse or Elizabeth Farm, Rosehill
When: Sunday 1st of April, 2018
Why?: Spend the day at either of these two Sydney Living Museums, for a day of old-fashioned family fun, with traditionally-inspired Easter games. Activities include egg rolling, egg-and-spoon racing, a (real) chicken hunt and a hot-cross bun ingredient challenge. For ages 4 and up (Child $12, Adult $12 and Family $38). Bookings are essential.

6. The Link Eggs By The Lake

Where: Lakeside Park, off Pittwater Rd, North Narrabeen
When: Saturday 31st of March, 2018
Why?: It's been a Northern Beaches community institution for over 10 years and it's back in 2018, with 10,000 eggs, BBQ, live music and FREE, fun activities for the family. All with Autumn views of beautiful Narrabeen Lake.

7. The Great Garden Egg Hunt

Where: Children's Tree Lawn, The Royal Botanic Garden, Mrs Macquaries Road, Sydney
When: Saturday 31st of March - Sunday 1st of April, 2018
Why?: In my books, this one would have to be awarded 'Easter Egg Trail with the Best View'. For $17.70 per child, the format for this hunt is similar to the one at Centennial Parklands (listed above), with an egg and spoon race and glorious harbour scenery to boot.

8. Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt

Where: The Grounds Garden, 7a/2 Huntley St, Alexandria
When: Saturday 31st of March, 2018
Why?: The early bird will catch the worm, or the golden egg, at this FREE family morning at The Grounds. 15,000 Cadbury eggs will be buried in the garden and laneways and there is an egg-citing prize for 3 lucky kids who find the special golden eggs.
