5 Awesome New Playgrounds in Sydney

Sydney has heaps of cool playgrounds littered throughout its suburbs, but this is a list of 5 really awesome playgrounds that you may not know about. Most of them are relatively new, and they all have some sort of amazing piece of equipment that will keep the offspring occupied for ages. So slip, slop, slap and explore a new playground today!

Fairfield Adventure Playground

This playground was built with bigger kids in mind. There are towering climbing nets that lead up into a series of dare devil slides, as well as a 33m long double flying fox. The sandpits will keep younger kids occupied and the playground is also surrounded by natural parklands which are perfect for family picnics.

Wulaba Park - Waterloo

Wulaba Park Waterloo

The towering slide is the main drawcard of this cool new playground in the inner city. Children have to climb up a fortress to get to the top, so once again it has been built with older kids in mind. However there are swings and small climbing nets available for little people.

Domain Creek Playground - Parramatta

Domain Creek Playground Parramatta

Located in beautiful Parramatta Park, this playground has equipment suitable for all ages. There is a cool slide, loads of little trampolines, horizontal climbing frames, a flying fox, water play equipment, sand pits, musical instruments and loads of different style of swings.

Birriwa Reserve - Mount Annan

With a galaxy net, tower slide, rodeo boards, hip hop swings, gliders, sky surfer, basket swings, flying fox and so much more, this playground has something for everyone. Pack the scooters and picnic baskets as there are bike paths and loads of space to chillax in.

Warriewood Valley Playground

Warriewood Valley Playground

Affectionately known as the Rocket Playground, this delightful playground has play equipment suitable for all ages. There's a designated toddler area and of course the towering rocket which will delight older kids as they climb up it and then slide down it. There are large sandpits, swings and smaller slides too.

The **Riverside Theatres** in Parramatta are hosting two family friendly performances with the productions of **Erth's Prehistoric Aquarium** and **Blinky Bill** this June and July!
